| Responsibilities |
The candidate will work in a fast-paced startup environment, working on multiple, simultaneous projects. Key responsibilities will include:
- Perform synthesis of conjugation agents
- Assist in developing new synthetic routes to saccharide-containing ligands
- Synthesize novel multifunctional agents
- Develop and refine synthetic strategies involving carbohydrates
- Document and validate preparation and characterization procedures
- Assist in developing new synthetic routes to saccharide-containing ligands

| Qualifications |
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Advanced degree in synthetic organic or saccharide chemistry
- At least 2 years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related industry
- Experience with synthesis of peptide coupling/conjugation agents (i.e. NHS esters), or saccharides is highly desired.
- Experience working in a research laboratory environment including:
- Highly skilled in common synthetic techniques and purification schemes
- Ability to manipulate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Good organizational skills and a demonstrated experience with keeping a detailed laboratory notebook.
